A trip to Antalya as offered by our guide Mehmet, we participated on Monday at the daily trip to Antalya. This should include:
The whole trip cost inclusive. The lunch and bus travel DM 20 - per person. Around 10.oo oŽ clock we got fetched punctually with a (thank God) air-conditioned minibus and drove to the west toward Antalya. On the way we still fetched the other passengers also at their hotels. Then we held also at a series of Fruit stalls and Mehmet invited us to fresh cherries, which we could enjoy during the bus travel. By tough traffic we became however again and again stopped and in such a way we arrived at 12.oo oŽ clock in Antalya.
There we were led from Mehmet to a Restaurant, where he invited us to a cup of tea. From there we could enjoy the view on the harbor basin of Antalya. Alternatively black or apple tea was served. This became up Desire hot or coldly serves. This time we decided for " hot and black tea ", which - served with much sugar - well to the accomplishment of the large heat can contribute.
Following the drink we ran down over many stairs to the harbor and walked a little bit around... Also there were again many children, who pressed us with flowers. Mehmet did its best, in order to save us from them. Since it was already one oŽ clock, we wanted to go for lunch, to break afterwards to the spice market,
Mehmet told us that he had visited some restaurants in Antalya in the days before, in order to pick the really good. For our feeling to it also succeeded. We sat on the terrace of a restaurant, where we got best Turkish meals gone. Here (in German roads inevitable) the Doener Kebab dipped again on... Since most already knew Doener Kebab among us, we ordered the other court - with that inexpressible name, nobody could note...
To the meal plentifully Fladenbrot (perhaps Flat-Bread in english? grin) and Turkish spice mixtures were gone. During the meal we could hear the singing from the loudspeakers of the neighbouring minaretts. Also with it eastern tendency arises. Thereby anyhow nobody felt disturbed.
After the meal we walked again to our bus and drove to the spice market. Since the markets are in Turkey a larger topic, this topic got its own page. There the " Bazar " is described detailed. In each case we could admire there each quantity tea places, spice sorts and also the usual stuff. Still another tip - the salesmen in the markets bend to it the spice grind into the hand to strew, so that the customer can smell to it... That is so far still no problem. There it in the considered market places with 40 degrees Celsius to some extent stickig, comes the industrious buyer happens however easily into sweating. Who seizes itself then with the pepper-treated hand in's face, can make itself calm on a surprise... We did to make similar experiments with Chili or still sharper spices.
After we moved over one hour by the spice bazaar and around some Kilos of apple tea let us enrich at the bus arrived, we drove out Antalya toward " Bazar 54 " - the gold factory, the some kilometers outside of Antalya is situated. Since also gold is in Turkey a topic for itself, I handled also this topic on a separate page. The attendance in the gold factory was worth in each case its cash!
Then it became time to begin the journey to the hotel. Still again more closely traffic was and in such a way came we even still in time to our " all evening - Buffet". |
