MARMOLADA

Weather Sunny, from time to time easy cloudy appearance - all in all too warm
Snow In the morning froze over, otherwise everywhere enough snow... This becomes however slowly wet, because it is very warm already the second day...
Runways As far as it concerns the runways of the Sellaronda, there was blue and red which however the passage of Arabba to the Marmolada concerns - those was jet black!
Route Of St. Christina with the car on the Ciampinoi, then far over Piz Seteur, stone city, Passo Sella, Passo Pordoi to Arabba - from here it goes over the Passo Fedaia to the Marmolada. Over one drives now around (the two elevators on the front are for over one year out of operation) to these - if the time is enough you can from Malga Ciapela out with the lift into the Marmolada drive (we to have it created, we did not have to turn around with Malga Ciapela, because we would not have achieved otherwise possibly no more the last elevator at the Passo Gardena...) and in itself then toward Passo Fedaia to hold. Then over the Passo Fedaia back to Arabba now over Passo Campolongo to valley (Colfosco)... Over the ski swing toward Passo Gardena and then down to Wolkenstein... There with the car again on the Ciampinoi and then the Worldcup gentleman departure back to St. Christina...
Afterwards still to the car at the Col Raiser and dailyended with Erwin on the hut with much courage

After the damp-merry evening of the day before we were today all both in the motor courses of motion and in the Mimik very reduced. The face courses hung us desireless down and only loud one of noises let this something come in motion.

Heinz and me did not want nevertheless our " Marmolada - route " it drive - only the others were so quite conclusive itself yet whether they rather still sleep a few years, or rather directly want to die...

Finally they decided to then up-drive themself with us together to the Ciampinoi however nevertheless, around then to the Diabolo to drive on... - went after on this morning all somewhat more slowly than otherwise, arrived we only against nine o'clock at the car station - a half hour too late, as to later turn out should...

Afterwards the routes separated...

We drove off the departure with the lift upward and again once after plan de Gralba. There the ways of the two groups separated. Heinz and I took again the " Sella Ronda " in attack, the others in another direction had driven on.

We drove accurately the same distance of the day before over Piz Seteur, Passo Sella, Passo Pordoi to Arabba. This time we omitted all tracing the day before however from the beginning, since we had sat down for certain waypoints time limits. Since Heinz through-plows this skiing area already far over ten years, I trusted its experience (rightfully, as was it shown again and again...)

Our time limit for Arabba read eleven o'clock - five minutes after eleven also there were we, and thought, we would again have caught up the half hour lost in the morning. We drove with the evelator from Arabba on the Passo Fedaja and then on the other side downhills. These departures were far more with difficulty, than everything that I had driven in the last days, but it made a giant fun.

Even, when it me in a close (or eight meters sieve broadly) and steep departure again times owing to many people being located in the runway, raised snow hill and driving experience lacking thrashed, me that did not know the sayful landscape and the wonderful weather bad.

Heinz had already seen from far that the lift systems at the Marmolada were also this year again not in operation... - after a critical view of the clock he already said, that we could probably forget the departure of the Marmolada.

Anything the despite he did not rush me still another to some extent boring and eternally persisting runway around the Marmolada external, until we came to a hut, which had then also still closed. Here we made rest short and saw about us the evelator in the sky of the Marmolada ascending. We could probably have driven the departure with this evelator and to make be able - nevertheless the time was limited and if one miscalculated there, you could probably later have taken the bus from Colfosco to St. Christina, because the car operation at the Groednerjoch ends punctually around 16.oo clock.

Thus we had pulled by kilometer-long evelators again up to the valley station at the Passo Fedaja and rose ourselves there into the lift. The departure on this side (toward Arabba) was however devil. There were departures was so steep that one would down-send at the most his wife there... Nevertheless even these departures made most fun - they were few driven on and steeply however nevertheless wonderful...

Again arrived at Arabba, we made the only rest of the daily (approx. 10 min) around a hot chocolade to drink and smoke a cigarette. Amusingly! None of us both was today so quite after courage... - now it was already fourteen o'clock and we had to hurry...

Thus it went as already at the day before to the Passo Campolongo and then more around into the valley (Colfosco)... Then over the ski swing of far to the Passo Gardena (Groednerjoch) and back to Wolkenstein.

Also after so a long travel we wanted the Ciampinoi with its departures escape not to let and drove ourselves in such a way like already repeatedly starting from Wolkenstein with the lift on around again the gentleman departure to drive on.

Today this to drive on, there it was however somewhat more difficult for two days already was too warm and the snow became slowly wet and we the efforts of the daily properly in the bones felt...

In addition, this time everything went well and we arrived good both in the valley station, where still none had so quite expected us... - alone Andreina had believed in us - we all wanted to go still to Erwin's hut courage drinking and that was, how said, only to 16,15 o'clock possible, because then the last evelator drove to the Col Raiser... - above all Thomas could not seize our arrival at 15.50 o'clock at all so quite, but which debit, - main thing we still created it up to Erwin!

We packed thus for one hundred the times the skis on the roof and tore for car station at the Col Raiser - skis to the four-hundred-eight-and-one hundred mark packed by the roof and off went toward Erwin...

With Erwin arrived we had to state that the hut was particularly full today... - finally we found workstation however in one let us hit a corner and ordered ski water, Cola, beer etc.

I drank the first three ski water on ex (in a course down), - I felt the daily route in the bones only now... - Erwin's hut was full singing, smoke and courage
- that was accurately the mixture which we in this evening needed...

Birgit and Heinz met acquaintance from the previous year, which invited us, when it became somewhat emptier in the hut, to their desk. Also a guitar player, who should later take " basic role " in Andreinas life still another, was fast (Kurt was called he believe I).

He played beautifully and loud (beautifully loud) - unfortunately we came with the songs usually only up to the half, there then already again a new round courage
at our desks emerged and to be again knocked against had...

The notorious " a turning momentum "
Here in Erwin hut was always enough courage

Krista and her husband (in such a way they, the acquaintance of Birgit and Heinz were called... Krista and husband) were already full courage and already made themselves a half hour before us on the way in the valley.

When we drove off then finally, it was times again dark (it is common in addition, that in South Tyrol so early they switch the light off) - I went as the first outside and fastened myself the skis to the bones and the first meters had already driven off, when I noticed that I had let my cigarettes be situated times again...

Thus I rose again on (the freshness air did to me amusing-proved well) around it me to get. When I arrived again with Erwin's hut, was Heinz already outside, where fresh air met him like a hammer.

I asked him for my cigarettes, but he was only there like a nailed deer and tried his skis to find (at night all skis are black...). So slowly also the others came out of the hut and I imagined that I should persist on the cigarettes not further, - I had still enough down in the car (amusing, which one has trains of thought, if one has first times
enough courage in the blood?). I wanted to drive off fast, when I already heard Andreina behind me:
Miiiiiiicha... - Miiiiiiicha... - Wait... - I drive with you!
And then we - at first on Skies, the remaining departure consisted actually only of falls - drove we created the four and one-half - minute departure in believe it or not a scarce hour.

Not only that Andreina tried quite new techniques out, no - at first it seemed to be also difficult Birgit into its skis to get. She fell then also and drove off the remainder of the runway in the plow.

None worried about Andreina and me to defeat the desperately tried the force of gravity... All drove past (or slipped) at us - even Heinz came with this departure on a big number of falls...

And then they - a group of ski drivers with flashlights... - came among them also the guitar player Kurt... He drove past also only at us, noticed then however that one of the two dark shapes again and again fell to soil - in such a way he waited approximately ten meters among us, where we already arrived after five minutes... - I was quite glad over this assistance and thought, I could now drive off calmed down, since with light all is simpler. I arrived also welfare down and waited at the end of the cannon pipe (particularly steep and close distance paragraph at the Col Raiser). When I was there and could I back-looked the entire cannon pipe well grasp - I saw the light spot, which marked exact me the position of Andreina and Kurt. One while was also diverted I, because the man of Krista was here, and also for his wife waited. However fitted 50 meters back in the deep snow and cries her man around assistance - who he with the record: " Those is to rise only alone, the drunken cow " - simply ignored...

When I turned then again to the cannon pipe, I had to state that the light spot did not want to move so quite... - thus meant it ascend - on the way helped herself I still Krista from their awkward position and climbed then up again the cannon pipe. On the side I saw then also Heinz, who wanted to give me also this time no cigarette. Around Andreinas departure technique to describe is actually sufficient a word: Meter way...

But which for a long time lasts, lasts finally well - sometime the cannon pipe was defeated and we could the flatter sections without large incidents behind us bring. On the way I had to help again Krista out of the deep snow - her man was like always fifty meter further down and don´t hear her crying.

As said - after approximately one hour departure time we had finally concerned at the car and could drive home. Birgit was however in a poor status - she was ill - ill - ill...

Arrived in the Appartment the all evening Go-to-bed did not run relatively quickly - cooking, no courage
, no nothing more...

Well then evenly not - property night!
